A Hong Kong group from Noah's Ark Ministries International (NAMI) claims to have found Noah's Ark at around 3800 meters (12,467 feet) to 4200 meters (13,780 feet) elevation on Mount Ararat.

- The jury will be out for years while actual archaeologists study whether it is the real thing or may have been "planted" in the ice and volcanic rocks as alleged by Dr. Randall Price.

The Near East Archaeological Society (NEAS), part of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) had a presentation on the search for Noah's Ark November 20, 2008 by Rex Geissler that is available here. Use Internet Explorer to view properly. Bill Crouse, Gordon Franz, and Rick Lanser also presented on the subject but their presentations are not available at this website currently.

The Mount Ararat Archaeological Survey co-authored by Ataturk University Archaeology Professors in Erzurum, Turkey and Rex Geissler of ArcImaging has been published in the Summer 2008 Edition of Bible and Spade by Associates for Biblical Research (ABR).

The Near East Archaeological Society (NEAS) held a debate on the landing site of Noah's Ark November 15, 2007. Dr. John Morris of ICR moderated the debate, where ArcImaging President Rex Geissler took the position of defending Mount Ararat as the landing site while Rapid Response Report President Bill Crouse took the position of defending Mount Cudi as the landing site.

Explorer Rick Hatch passed away on 10/31/2007. Rick's friend, John McIntosh, attended the memorial and stated the following about Rick, "I met Rick through Doris Bowers in the early 80's. He was interested in the Ark research and was a member of my 1984 Mt Ararat expedition along with Doris. He has been a buddy ever since. I feel like I have lost another long time member of my 'family'--which is getting mighty small now days!" Rick was a staff research associate at University of California at Riverside for 28 years and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Alva Appel died on December 2, 2006. Alva Appel (1922-2006) was a Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) minister, Chief of Chaplains for the United States Air Force Auxillary Civil Air Patrol (CAP), and Chaplain Colonel of the United States Congressional Squadron. Alva was a strong climber who searched all over Ararat including the summit, in the Ahora Gorge as well as on both the eastern and western rims, and with Fernand Navarra all over the northwest slopes and Parrot Glacier. A clear-minded soul who was never swayed by “Ark Fever,” Alva brought a critical-thinking attitude that was helpful to promote honest research and as secretary for the Archaeological Research Foundation (ARF) between 1965 and 1969, he kept the ARF on the straight and narrow way where he was involved. Alva's father-in-law was the President of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
