The Stones of Kazan

In 1998, I had an opportunity to visit the village of Sagliksuyu (old Kazan), west of Mount Ararat, to view many large stones. Some speculate that these stones were actually anchor or drogue stones from Noah's Ark, while others maintain that they are grave markers.

Though these stones were originally associated with the Durupinar (boat-shaped formation), Mount Ararat is actually closer and in the background of the above photo, though clouds cover the upper portion of the mountain.
